Our pasture raised production practices eliminates the need for the daily medications that are commonly used in confinement production systems. However, in certain cases to prevent animals from death or suffering we do allow use of medication. In these cases, the prescribed withdrawal period is doubled before animals are taken to the processor. We feel that the spot treatment of animals in need is practical in order to ensure ethical treatment of livestock and wise stewardship.
Raised and rotated on grassy pastures with supplemental grain feedings before being processed.
